Hall of Distinction

Beginning in 2018, the University of New Orleans' Hall of Distinction will recognize and honor individuals who have distinguished themselves through leadership and professional achievements and who have brought distinction to the University of New Orleans and its programs. Inclusion in the Hall of Distinction reflects the respect and admiration held by the University of New Orleans for these esteemed individuals, recognizing that they serve as inspiration to current and future students.

Nominations can be made at any time to President@uno.edu.

Nominees may be living or deceased, and current employees and students are not eligible for consideration. Inductees will have evidence of an outstanding record of achievement spanning his or her professional career; distinguished service to the community; sustained activities that demonstrate an exceptionally strong commitment to and support of the University; and the highest integrity. Hall of Distinction awardees are selected by a committee appointed by the President of the University of New Orleans and will be celebrated at a black tie gala. Designation of new inductees is not required to occur annually.
